Club Seeks New Officers; Wanted, Ideas for New Club Events; MIT President Reif Comes to Bay Area in December

  
MIT Club of Northern California (MITCNC) is the premier regional alumni/ae club of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The club offers numerous resources in entrepreneurship, career development, and professional networking in the Bay Area. In addition, the Club provides many opportunities for social interaction between MIT alumni/ae as well as alumni/ae from similar university clubs.

Social Robots for the Future and NOW Social robots are complex machines designed to interact with human and other robots much like people would.  They are seen as a possible way to address the growing challenges around human capital and financial pressures brought on by our resource restrained health care system.  What are some challenges and issues around building social robots?  What are the current applications and near future usage?  And how could they affect our health care policy going forward?
